Grosse commande pour Nakilat Damen Shipyards Qatar (NDSQ)

Le Nouveau Port de Doha en construction vient de passer une commande de 11 bateaux à NDSQ, affectés au travaux du port dès son exploitation.

Le Qatar renforce son activité de construction navale

Nakilat Damen Shipyards Qatar (NDSQ), créé en 2010 est situé dans le port de Ras Laffan au Nord Est du Qatar et peut construire des bateaux allant jusqu’à 170 m. Le Nouveau Port de Doha qui devrait être en partie ouvert fin 2016 vient de passer une commande de 11 bateaux à NDSQ, affectés au travaux du port, dès son exploitation. Il s’agit de remorqueurs et de bateaux d’amarrages. Le Qatar renforce ainsi son activité navale.

Le nouveau port de Doha est construit pour répondre au développement économique du Qatar. Ce projet évalué à 4 milliards d’euros et développé en plusieurs phases comprend entre autres trois terminaux pour les conteneurs avec la capacité de traiter annuellement 6 millions de conteneurs. Opérationnel en partie  fin 2016, il sera conçu pour attirer le transbordement et le trafic de la logistique dans la région.

 Doha, 21rdDecember 2014 — Qatar’s New Port Project (NPP) has signed an agreement with Nakilat Damen Shipyards Qatar (NDSQ) to construct 11 workboats for use at the port.

HE Dr. Mohammed bin Saleh Al Sada, Minister of Energy and Industry, and HE Mr. Jassim Bin Saif Ahmed Al Sulaiti, Minister of Transport, witnessed the signing ceremony between NDSQ and NPP, on Wednesday, 17th December 2014. The contracts were signed by Eng. Abdullah Fadhalah Al Sulaiti, Chairman of NDSQ and Managing Director of Nakilat, and Capt. Abdulla Al-Khanji CEO Qatar Ports Management Company & NPP General Supervisor.

NDSQ will build four 29m-long Azimuth Stern Drive (ASD) tug boats, three 16m-long mooring boats and four15m-long glass reinforced plastic (GRP) pilot boats. The 11 vessels will be built entirely at Qatar’s Erhama Bin Jaber Al Jalahma Shipyard in Ras Laffan for delivery in 2016. The vessels will be engaged in service at NPP performing a variety of marine support services to vessels visiting the port.
