Affair of financing Syrian students in Paris1 Panthéon-Sorbonne by Qatar

Has Qatar paid the promised money to support Syrian students over three years in Paris1 Panthéon-Sorbonne? Students are wondering over that issue!

Surprising unease emerges

In September 2015, the Emir of Qatar had publicly pledged to finance the studies of hundred Syrian students for 3 years, at a rate of at least 600,000 euros per year, in Paris1 Panthéon-Sorbonne.

The Emir of Qatar spoke of a special gift to the Syrian people.

Three years later, several Syrian students, are still not understanding how the direction of the university managed the whole file.

A recruitment, at least fanciful, that made Syrians compete with other refugees, in an orientation that lacks of professionalism, not to mention the management of accommodation that has led to an obvious stress by creating multiple obstacles for a real success.

Has Qatar paid the promised money to support these Syrian students? If this is the case, Qatar should make an assessment available for public because many students have been disappointed by Qatar and Paris1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University.
