5th Abu Dhabi Strategic Debate

The Emirates Policy Center (EPC) was established in Abu Dhabi on September 1, 2013.

The event is scheduled to take place from 10-12 November 2018

In cooperation with the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Emirates Policy Center (EPC) convenes the Fifth Annual “Abu Dhabi Strategic Debate” (ADSD).

The event is scheduled to take place from 10-12 November 2018, at the Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi, under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the UAE’s Minister of Foreign Affairs.

This year’s Debate will thoroughly engage the DNA of International Politics: Power, including its interactions, shifts, variations and physics to develop a better understanding of international politics and predict its future shifts more accurately. Emirates power building model will be the first issue to address.

Sessions will cover American, Russian, Chinese, European, Indian and African policies in the context of power colorations and variations. The conference will also discuss and analyse the situations in the Arab World, Turkey strategies and policies, the so-called Deal of the Century and the end of the myth of both Iran and Qatar.

Similar to the previous four ADSD editions, this gathering is a unique opportunity to discuss and exchange ideas and viewpoints on a wide array of issues related to both regional and global orders with prominent policy-makers, experts, and officials from prestigious think tanks from all over the world.
